From Literature to Diamonds
My journey into fine jewelry was not traditional.
I studied literature because I have always been drawn to stories, meaning, and human emotion. After graduation, I joined a jewelry magazine where I was introduced to the fascinating world of gemstones and fine jewelry.
Among every gem I encountered, one stood apart: The diamond.
Its purity. Its brilliance. Its strength.
Its ability to transform light into something extraordinary.
To me, diamonds reflected the qualities I admired most in women.
Strong. Resilient. Beautiful. Enduring.
That admiration eventually became a profession.
A Decade Dedicated to Lab-Grown Diamonds
For nearly ten years, I specialized in lab grown diamond sourcing and trading.
Long before launching Her Crown, I worked closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and grading laboratories to understand what truly separates an exceptional diamond from an average one.
Lab grown diamonds became my focus because they allowed complete confidence in ethical sourcing while offering the same beauty, brilliance, and physical properties that make diamonds extraordinary.
Today, that expertise remains central to Her Crown.
Every diamond begins with IGI certification. But certification is only the starting point. The human eye matters. The way a diamond performs in light matters. The beauty of its proportions matters.
For this reason, every diamond selected for our inventory is personally reviewed by our leadership team before it is offered to a client.

The Roles That Changed Me Most
During those same years, my life changed in ways no career could fully prepare me for.
I became a wife. I became a mother. And I became a daughter supporting my own mother through her battle with cancer.
These experiences taught me lessons far beyond business. I learned that women often carry responsibilities that remain unseen.
We support families. We build careers. We care for others. We hold households together. And yet many women neglect their own emotional well-being while doing so.
Watching my mother overcome illness and navigating the challenges of balancing motherhood, marriage, and professional life strengthened my belief in something I now consider essential:
A woman’s independence is not only financial. It is also emotional and spiritual. The ability to remain connected to who you are, regardless of life’s changing roles, is one of the greatest sources of strength a woman can possess.
Building a Company That Reflects Those Values
When I founded Her Crown, I wanted our company culture to reflect the same values that inspired the brand itself.
Although we are still a growing company, we prioritize flexible working arrangements for women experiencing their own life transitions, with a well organized and structured management system.
Many of the women on our team balance careers, families, caregiving responsibilities, and personal ambitions. Their empathy and experience help them provide exceptional support to our clients.
Our online-only model allows us to maintain a carefully considered workload while offering personalized service and a bespoke experience for every client.
We intentionally work with a limited number of clients at a time because meaningful craftsmanship and meaningful relationships both require attention.
We also prioritize women’s leadership and hiring because I believe women who understand life’s complexities are uniquely positioned to support clients through important milestones.
Beyond Jewelry: The Her Way Forward Community
Her Crown was never intended to be only a jewelry brand. It was intended to become a community.
That vision inspired Her Way Forward, a journal within our website dedicated to personal growth, confidence, resilience, and meaningful reflection. I am the chief editor of this journal and I write about topics that have shaped my own journey:
