Vincent van Gogh’s Irises has a particular quality that drew us to it.
The flowers are recognizable, yet they do not feel uniform. Each iris has its own direction, movement and personality. Some stand upright. Others bend. Some overlap. Some seem to move away from the others.
Together, they create harmony without requiring sameness.
That became the starting point for Azure Iris.
Rather than reproducing the flowers literally, we translated the feeling of the composition into jewelry.
Four pear-shaped blue diamonds become four abstract petals. Their individual forms remain distinct, yet together they create the impression of a single flower in bloom.
Five smaller round diamonds are scattered among them, introducing moments of unexpected brilliance.
The warm 18k yellow gold becomes the foundation that brings the contrasting colors together.
The result is not a miniature painting.
