Inspired by Monet’s Sunflowers
Helios takes its artistic inspiration from Claude Monet’s sunflower paintings, where flowers become studies in color, light and atmosphere. Monet’s sunflowers are not simply botanical subjects. They are filled with changing yellows, greens, shadows and flashes of light, allowing the viewer to experience the flowers almost as a living source of energy.
That feeling became the starting point for Helios. Rather than reproducing one of Monet’s paintings, we translated its relationship between sunflower, sunlight and color into jewelry. The emerald-cut yellow diamond becomes the concentrated heart of the flower. The surrounding round diamonds become its radiating petals. Yellow gold brings warmth and continuity, allowing the entire ring to feel like a small universe revolving around its own source of light.
A Sunflower Reimagined as a Jewel
The design begins with contrast. The emerald cut is structured, precise and architectural, while the halo surrounding it is circular and organic. Together, they create the impression of a sunflower viewed through an artistic lens: a strong center surrounded by movement and light.
The fancy vivid yellow diamond was chosen to give that center unmistakable presence. Its saturated color carries the warmth of sunlight, while its elongated emerald-cut geometry gives the design a more sophisticated and composed character.
Around it, the round diamond halo creates dozens of points of light. The yellow gold pavé band continues the radiance beyond the center, so the entire ring feels illuminated rather than simply decorated.
